WG1 member involvement
Tasks
We encourage you to take active roles in this action - partly to promote yourselves and your institutions (visibility leads to creating larger professional networks), and partly to learn from this experience. We don't want to push unnecessary work on to you, rather, if you see that some of the tasks are overlapping with your interests, and you would benefit from those, then this is a wonderful opportunity for getting a synnergy effect. We are very grateful for your active involvement!
Task 1: Reading List group
(a rotating task on an annual (?) basis)
Compile a reading list on the topic of crowdsourcing for language learning, adding 2-3 sentences summarizing each publication & search terms/tags. Make it available to the members (where?). The starting phase planned to be done during an STSM (already approved)
(potentially also) Resources for language learning/teaching that have been compiled through crowdsourcing

Task 2: Relevant events group
(a rotating task on an annual (?) basis)
Compile and keep updating a list of relevant events, like workshops and conferences (and why not journals?) within our interests where we could publish or disseminate our work. The format for this is to be decided (by you?). Keep as table? Update some calendar?

Task 3: Survey with teachers
(2017-2018)
This group will initially prepare a draft of a survey/interview questions with teachers on the topic of crowdsourcing learning materials/resource annotations. The survey will later be distributed by WG members to (some selected) teachers in their countries. An STSM to start brainstorming?

Task 4: Workshop organization
Detained, uncertain at the moment (initially planned for Fall 2017-Spring 2018)
Organization of the next workshop (meeting during spring 2018) on the topic “Case studies/workflows on ethical and legal questions within (explicit) crowdsourcing". This will be a joint event between WG1 and WG5. The tasks would be to prepare and issue a call for presentations, make selection, plan the time slots, lead the workshop.

Task 5: Survey of workflows for crowdsourcing of language learning materials/resources

Task 6: Survey with learners
(2019-2020)
This group will initially prepare a draft of a survey/interview questions with learners on the topic of crowdsourcing learning materials/resource annotations and participation in crowdsourcing projects. The survey will later be distributed by WG members to (some selected) leaner groups in their countries. An STSM to start brainstorming? A survey paper to finish off the project.

Task 7: Joint WG1-WG3 meeting
(March 2019, Lisbon)
This group will issue a call for poster presentations related to learner involvement/attitudes in crowdsourcing, and potentially other language-learning crowdsourcing-related projects; make a selection and set up a program, and arrange a follow-up discussion that will start us brainstorming over the survey on learner motivation/involvement.
