The King's book is also known under the name of Sæmundaredda Lóðaedda and Edda Sæmundar fróda, and is believed to be have written sometime between 1270-1280. This Icelandic fiction manuscript contains ancient poetry that is divided into two categories, mythic poetry and heroic poetry.
