	title        = {Contextual Semantics: Theory and Phenomena},
	abstract = {The truth-conditional frameworks loosely called `indexicalism’ and `contextualism’ have yielded much attention, but there is no consensus about how to theoretically handle semantically context-sensitive language. A presupposition in the debate on contextual semantics is that only one of these frameworks could be correct. The thesis of this talk will be that there are central linguistic examples, where the phenomena are underdetermined with respect to the different theoretical choices exhibited by these frameworks.
