Annotation of Swedish texts with nominal ratios which indicate the difficulty of the texts

Nominal ratio is a readability measure calculated by adding the number of participles, nouns and prepositions, and dividing this by the number of verbs, adverbs and pronouns. A high nominal ratio suggests a high density of information, which can also mean that the text is difficult to read.

Example

This analysis is used with Sparv. Check out Sparv's quick start guide to get started!

To use this analysis, add the following line under export.annotations in the Sparv corpus configuration file:

- :readability.nk # Nominal ratios for text chunks

For more info on how to use Sparv, check out the Sparv documentation.
