The purpose of the glossary is primarily to support second-language learners at a more advanced level, but also native-speaking students who are not accustomed to academic language. The glossary is also intended for those who choose to write in Swedish instead of English within the framework of their higher education studies. The glossary is mainly intended to be used in the production of academic texts, but because the entries are provided with Swedish definitions and English translation equivalents, it can also be helpful for reception. In addition, our work may serve as a basis for the development of future vocabulary tests and teaching materials, as well as contribute to documenting the Swedish academic vocabulary.
